biography
As a life coach, Carol Barbieri has a passion for supporting clients who are seeking to live a more purposeful life through meaningful action. She also likes to coach clients who are seeking more fulfillment and balance in their lives and less squandering of their precious time. Carol is very effective at coaching people to connect with their natural creativity, talents, and abilities.
Carol began her career working as a counselor at juvenile hall and realized very quickly that she could best serve people in a non-punitive environment.
She worked in high tech for 18 years, starting with Intel Corporation and then for many years at Apple, Inc. where she had a variety of roles and responsibilities, including management. She valued working at Apple, as it was an ideal environment for employees to expand their creativity and talents.
Since leaving the corporate world, Carol has been self-employed as a business manager, an artist agent and has evolved to a life coach. Carol is also an activist focused on peace and social justice issues.
She has a BA in Sociology from San Jose State University, and in 2000 earned a coaching certification from the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, CA. She is a former board member of Y.O.G.A. for Youth, an organization that brings yoga and meditation to urban youth in juvenile hall, alternative schools and after school programs.
